A. Goodson
Dancer/instructor/choreographer in the Washington,
DC metro area. Nicole grew up performing and competing in the area,
nationally and internationally. She trained with Henry LeTang, Joe
Lanteri of NYCDA, Tommy Ralabate, Christine Grogis, Fran Peters
and Jimmy Peters. Nicole is a graduate of the University of the
Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
Professionally, Nicole toured with Sesame
Street live as a performer and Assistant Performance Director. She
lived and danced in Japan, performing in a Las Vegas style show.
She later danced for the Washington Wizards Dance Team and multiple
companies in the area and abroad. She participated in a collaboration
with the National Symphony Orchestra at the prestigious Kennedy
Center.
Nicole has judged numerous dance competitions and dance team tryouts
from High School teams to NBA teams. Several of her students are
pursuing professional dance careers and many are on nationally ranked
College Dance Teams (Towson University, University of Louisiana,
East Carolina, James Madison University, Radford University and
Virginia Tech).
Nicole is an adjunct professor at George Mason University in Fairfax,
VA. She has been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Fine Arts
Higher Education. Her teachings also include local studios, community
centers and high school dance teams. She is the founder and co-director
of "Break It Down" (a dance team training program) which
gives kids a chance at "making it" on their high school
dance team. Nicole has produced award winning routines as well as,
well-trained dancers. She looks forward to fulfilling her dream
and sharing her knowledge with as many young dancers as possible.
