3. How do I register?
There are 2 ways to register:
1) mail

4. How do I know what level class to take?

Classes are determined by age and dance experience. If a class is too easy or hard the instructor will direct you to the appropriate level.

5. What do I wear to class?
Each type of dance has a different dress code. Please check out the Studio Policies so you can see what to wear.

6. Where do I buy dance clothes?
Some dance suppliers are Art Stone (3083 Nutley St, Fairfax, VA 2203, 703.560 7047), The Cinnamon Tree (1108 Herndon Pkwy, Herndon, VA 20170, 703.435.3255), Discount Dance Supply (www.discountdance.com).

7. If I miss class do I receive credit?

Yes, refunds are available for students who officially withdraw on or before the third day of the course. For more details on our cancellation policy, please see our registration page.

9. Can I try a class to see if I like it?
Yes! You may attend classes once within the first three weeks of dance class without being registered to try it out.

10. What happens if class is canceled due to inclement weather?
We do not always follow the Fairfax County Public Schools decisions to close. Please call the center at 703-941-3332 during inclement weather for a recorded message explaining if we are closed or not or check the web site (www.dance-defined.com).

11. Do I have to dance in the recital?
The end of year recital is not mandatory. We do encourage the dancers to participate. It gives the dancers something to look forward to and something to work for. Performing in the show will greatly help the child’s self-esteem.

Nicole A. Goodson.

13. Can my friend come to take class with me?
Sure, anyone can take class at the rate of $15 per class. We also have an incentive program. If you refer a friend to Dance Defined, and he/she becomes a registered member, you receive $25.00 off your next tuition payment.
